Has anyone seen skin lightening improvements from tret?

fellow dravidian shitskin here. Been using tret for over a year now. ZERO change in skin color. Still dark brown. Although, skin does look softer and "shinier" than before. Still have to regularly use sunscreen otherwise these effects go away. I've been rotting in my room for the better part of a year and a half now (so this sunscreen thing hasn't been much of a problem)
