has anyone tried bimatoprost eye drops to reduce IPD?

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30902695/ - 2.2 mm shortening on avg
https://www.researchgate.net/public...cation_in_an_ophthalmic_surgeon_A_case_report - 2.5 mm shortening case

you can clearly tell in which picture her IPD is lower

in my case im 2-3 mm away from an ideal IPD despite otherwise perfect eye ratios (1:1 PFL to ICD ratio), so it seems like a solution since for me its likely because of soft tissue rather than bone. has anyone tried the drops and measured a reduction? if it really does destroy the fat around the eye itself then some gains should be kept if its used long enough i'm assuming. though from the images there does seem to be a trade off of increasing UEE (short term while on) to get a narrower IPD (0.48 -> 0.46 ESR in my case) and likely longer lashes, but it seems worth it

what do you guys think?

Oh my god
please don't say some bullshit about how "this will only work if you have glaucoma"

what exactly is unreasonable about this idea

no way that works right

so you lose orbital fat and that makes your ipd narrower essentially

yeah prostaglandin analogs destroy fat

there is fat around your eye

so it should work yes but we don't know the extent to which itll work in normal people, but it should work maybe instead of a 2-3 mm decrease its more like 1-2 mms but idk

honestly might be worth trying out for people with high ipds, 2mm would be huge. But if its just a result of fat loss, you could prob observe a difference on obese people to after weight loss
kinda funny that the side effect of fat loss from it is the mechanism here

theres also fat in your nose and soles of your feet, but obese people cutting to a 10-20% range still mostly keep the same nose and height. this type of fat is some of the most stubborn so you will never be able to lose it just by getting lean, but it's also unfortunate that fat loss is the mechanism since you are risking permanent hollowing of your orbits even if it is slight

makes sense, I know how stubborn fat in certain areas can be, but I thought the fat there yould be more succeptible to change

yes for sure, thats the price your paying, but I thought I heard that fat loss from bimatoprost was reversible?

usually reversible but could be partial just depends how long you use it
