Has anyone tried dating events?

A female friend of mine (late 20s) recommended me a singles event she went to recently (which turned out to be a dating event). I looked it up and the female tickets are already sold out, while the male early tickets are still available

For reference it's a big city with virtually no pajeets, the organizers claim that the age range is 24-36
