Has anyone tried Duraphat or prescription toothpaste for sensitivity

I want to giga whiten my teeth and have a shit ton of crest strips to use but just like in the past, if I use them once I get excruciating pain. I can usually tolerate pain but this shit is insanely bad...(and this is just after 1 use).
So, i bought some duraphat online (5500ppm) it comes tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone has done anything similar and if it worked for sensitivity. I will also be sure to keep people updated and will use it three times a day and then after a week use whitening strips and let you know.

sensitivity toothpaste will fuck up your teeth on the long term
