What do you guys think about this braces adjustment? Today they expanded my lower jaw with a regular archwire. I instantly felt my bite change (it used to be fine). Now when I close my teeth, my lower jaw shifts back about 1–2 mm, because it doesn’t fit into the upper one like before. Before the appointment, I asked the ortho to do everything to avoid retraction and to encourage forward growth as much as possible, but he just said he didn’t get what I meant. Then he was like “yeah, I’ll handle it,” but when I asked what exactly he stayed quiet. After the appointment I asked again and he just said everything’s fine with me anyway.
