So, where do I even start?

Today my orthodontist placed a wire on my upper jaw, with a T-shaped attachment on both sides above the canines. He said that because my lower jaw sits further back, he wants to adjust my upper jaw and move it slightly backwards as well.

However, I clearly told the doctor that everything is already positioned too far back and that my jaw actually needs to be brought forward. Both the doctor and the assistant said that I wouldn't even notice it because it's only a few millimeters. But as we all know, a few millimeters can make a huge difference. That's exactly how the hump on my nose developed in the first place.

Since I already have a recessed maxilla, I'm worried that this could make the problem even worse. That's why I need your help now, so I can clearly and confidently explain to the doctor what I actually need and make sure he listens to me instead of misunderstanding or downplaying my concerns.

Bruh if you're the one paying them, then tell them no.

Yeah bro, but firstly, they don't understand it the way I usually want to, and secondly, tell me what I should say to them so they understand.

I don't know man, my ortho works with my surgeon so I never had any problems. I don't know the specifics and what you could tell em tbh.
