Hate when ppl ask “can you do me a favor”

I hate the word “favor” so much

And I have to say yes because they won’t bug off

And don’t dare say “no” because they’ll look at you as if you’re the worst person in the world

And then they never do anything in turn for me—nothing in the slightest

I don’t know if I want to kill everyone or just myself.

It's not a direct question, "I would like you to help me with this, can you do that" instead they ask "can you do me a favor" or "can you help me?" first, without actually telling you what they want. Then when you've agreed, they tell you what they want to be done, so they can order you around while pretending to be nice. Anytime someone asks, I always respond with "that depends, what do you want me to do?" And then I usually say no. Being ordered around is for the French legion, not for regular interactions

I have found in a lot of cases it's best to just say "okay" and then walk away. If you say no they keep trying to convince you, it's such a pain in the ass. People dont like to accept no, instead if you say "okay" or "maybe" and then go about your business they seem to get the message and stop bothering you
