Allthough I am just making pure speculations, what if "havana syndrome" is a side effect of some sort of attempt to extract information from a persons head through anomalous or "psychic" methods. The idea of using ultrasound, radio waves or poison to harm diplomats for no reason is ridiculous. The only thing a foreign country would actually want to do with a diplomat is extract secret info from them on what their objectives are.

Another telling sign is that one of the reported symptoms is memory loss. If someone was trying to fuck with the part of your brain that stored memory to read the information in it, it is very likely it might mess up your memories. Especially if the method isn't exact. The only way to gain information is through a causal interaction and any causal interaction will in one way or another effect both nodes. If someone was trying to read somones mind it would have to effect the victims mind in some physical way. I imagine the process would actually be pretty invasive and cause symptoms exactly like havana syndrome.

@Collagen or rope thoughts?
