Doesn't kick in till day 3-4, it's just dumb fad shit because you will eventually revert to w/e has you overweight right now. Just restrict calories to a deficit and commit to cardio for a RMR boost, simple.

What makes u think cardio boosts RMR? Do u mean like 20 mins if extremely HIIT, and basically the boost over next 90 mins it will give u?

I do that all that already I just need quick results I don't mind reverting back to it.

Most of your time is going to be spent failing the fad when you get hungry as fuck and there is food right next to you. lol

Yeah but I'm like 15% so not even that bad but my face is bloated cus I've been eating a high carb, high sodium diet of junk food.
I am mentally ill because if my face becomes even slightly bloated I go crazy.
I never used to give a fuck a few years back till I got into looksmaxxing

Yeah, that's all I commit to, people should definitely include cardio. I don't care for this clown on other issues but he is right on this by a long shot...

I come from a wrestling background, manipulating weight has always been easy for me because I don't mind killing myself on the bike, but just basic cardio will add up over time due to the expenditure, assuming a deficit is present. And from what I have read the RMR boost is greater than 90 mins, I'm reading 24+ hours.

This guy has the most annoying voice ever I can't sit through any of his videos

From what I have seen, and this was as a desperate wrestler approaching meet dates, the best water fasts exceed 7 days, not much is gained in that time, I think the best result I saw from a water fast was a guy on reddit doing it up to a month. So just dumb, you are better served with the lifestyle change. Plus, and this might sound dumb to the untrained ear, you can't just jump into a water fast, you don't know the state of your body.

I'm a big believer in cardio, especially for things like blood pressure, metabolic, and cardio health, and actually think u need to do both, high intensity circuits as well as low intensity steady state, even just walking 20k steps a day is a huge boost for the deficit (20k steps is anywhere from 600-900 calories) for sedentary people.

I know gym bros now are super anti cardio, and I guess their reasoning is it can be catabolic, and also it's easier to just not eat a kit Kat than jog on a treadmill for 30 mins, but if ur chasing a deficit, u need to eat clean AND do cardio.

I don't agree with the metabolic boost though, more papers have been done now that discredit it, and it seems the boost is less than 2 hours.

A month? That has to be Jesus.
Yeah oh well im acting like I need to cut to make weight for a fight jfl

Sidenote, back to my bodybuilding obsessed days, a hilarity was noting the amount of bodybuilders that ran to drugs, ECA stack, clen, DNP, just to lose weight because their lazy asses were scared of cardio. Claiming to be hard as they pick up and put down weight but afraid to hit the bike with intensity. LOL And then you wonder, especially with the stress load, why these bodybuilders drop dead at a young age.

Being cardiovascularly fit is one of the biggest mental boosts ever, see people being dead tired as they walk up stairs, or just knowing, if it was a fight to their death that you can literally just increase the pace for someone out of shape and then end them, it's all I do in boxing and thai boxing, I just pressure fight everyone with shit cardio. But that's really why wrestlers dominate, most of our time is spent doing cardio.

Fair enough, at least for me, anecdotally, I can only get back to my anorexic metabolism days when I'm introducing intense cardio, and during those days, I definitely go over my maintenance calories and don't take a hit for it. That's anecdotal as fuck, and even when injured, I guess I'm just more wired and jittery than the average person. I can drop the RMR boost, but I don't know what else I can suggest to make it clear to people just how important cardio is. What do you you suggest?

Idk man, I guess you are young?? In my day even when we had rugby training, out of 3 sessions a week, 1 was pure cardio with a little bit of skills, and 1 was conditioning, which is kind of cardio.

The whole anti cardio thing is fairly recent, last 10 years realky, came after the RTT thing that happened post GFC around 2010, and those guys are never gonna do cardio anyway.

Other thing is if u think when I was 25 maybe 1% of the population where I'm from were roided, so 99% had pretty well functioning systems and could 'handle' cardio.

Now it's easily 10-15% in my town, and they prob can't do cardio. I've seen RTT guys who look amazing try F45 at my gym, and they are totally gassed in 10 mins

Not doing cardio is an L.
You should cross train everything important that you can for the maximum gains.
I think it's more so that cardio is just really really boring and people nowadays have no attention span.

Yeah, it's insane seeing people shrug cardio, I try to preach it every chance I get. I eat straight garbage because I have an eating disorder but my last blood pressure test 103/59, and my resting heart rate is 48, my resting HR a year ago when I ballooned up with months of injury way 87 and my BP was, if I can remember correctly, around 115-120, I was eating straight junk, only difference was I able to get back to cardio after my stress fracture healed.

The cycling community was the biggest ego check for me, seeing 60+ year old korean grandmas blitzing me was all the motivation I needed. lol

Haha yeah I know a boomer white guy used to be a fat fuck, had a heart attack, then got his shit together, divorced his old white wife, married a indonesia chuck 35 years younger and became one if the premier cyclists in Asia, of all ages. He's ripped as fuck even now in his 60s ffs.

Btw if u want an easier way to recreate the vo2 hit of cycling, try hiking
