I'm at the airport now with blue contacts, and oh man the difference in treatment. Receiving higher level of smiling than usual, lots of eye contact, people thanking/apologizing for the simplest of reasons, etc.
There was even one middle aged woman who offered me to pass in front of her in the queue (which is the trigger behind writing this thread)
