Yes, but not romantically, girls would always come to me to ask for money, favors, helping them do stuff, etc..., if you reject them bluntly, they will start to talk shit about you behind your back, spread lies and try to ruin your reputation.
That's why it's better to learn from their ways, when they usually reject guys, they rarely do it directly, they always invoke some bullshit reason: they have a boyfriend, they are very busy, they are not ready for a relationship, they want to focus on their career/studies, etc.
So when a girl comes to to you, you should always expect the worst: she's not there to give you or offer you anything, she wants something, so you should immediately pull the same excuses they use: you're very busy, tired, you just don't have time, money, you have to travel and stay for some time in another place,etc.
