Homosexuality is prohibited in Qatar.
During the World Cup, some rich arabs on television would gently touch each other and be very warm.
I watched this and juxtaposed it with what we have in the West: a more liberal culture in relation to homosexuality where you can't even demonstrate affection to a male friend without raising suspicion and you'd even be called a faggot if you hugged him.
Since homosexuality is prohibited in Qatar, they don't have anything to hide, so they can be gentle and warm, while people in the West pretend they support it while they pressure everyone into falling in line with heterosexuality (which is a good thing, I just don't like the hypocrisy).
