One of the funniest things on forums is when a guy has no comeback, so he defaults to "I have a girlfriend."
Like... okay? Did you expect everyone to clap?
It's such a weird flex because it has nothing to do with whatever's being discussed. You can have the worst take imaginable, but apparently saying "I have a gf" is supposed to end the conversation.
Even funnier is when they start acting like they're on some higher plane than every kissless or single guy. As if getting into one relationship suddenly turned them into a philosopher. News flash: plenty of absolute morons have girlfriends. It's not an IQ test.
And if your whole online persona revolves around reminding strangers you're taken, that's usually a sign you're trying to convince yourself more than anyone else.
Then you get the random comparisons and bait posts that don't even make sense, because the goal isn't to make a good point—it's to farm reactions.
At the end of the day, nobody remembers the guy with a girlfriend. They remember the guy who couldn't go three posts without bringing it up.
If your strongest argument is your relationship status, you've already admitted your actual argument isn't good enough.
