In this first post of mine after fucking around on org with no account due to not being accepted for a while(L ip adress), i will discuss what to do about a little bit of a droopy nose, i believe there isnt talked about this very much so i tried it myself and it somewhat works, i am not done yet.
Note: this will only help if you have a fairly negligible droopy nose but still want to make youself the best possile version(otherwise just get a rhino jfl)
Having a little bit of a droopy nose is annoying because it causes an action treshold(who´s gonna get rhino for such a minor flaw), also called a salience bias/hyperbolic discounting(We undervalue long-term or small problems and only respond when consequences become immediate or severe.)
Its important to realize that by this method you wont achieve a nasal tip lift, rather just the impression of your tip being lifted more,
the part of the nose that supports your nasal tip is called the columnella (see pic below),
What the goal is of this method is essentially thickening/ vertical elongating of the columnella, thus creating the look of your tip being supported more strongly(might even help a mm for the holy long philtrumcels) an example of someone with a prominent columnella is Tom Welling(see pic below)
Imagine if his columnella was retracted upward more, he´d have a noticeably more droopy nose(still inarguably god tier looking though dont get me wrong)
The high inhib less fruitfull way that we could do this is by stretching and massaging this part, thus relaxing and somewhat stretch it, the other high inhib way is by applying volufiline, increasing fat in that area making it more prominent, but as there is not alot of subcutaneous fat in that area it wont work THAT well.
The low inhib way if doing this is by injecting filler along the middle of that ridge this will work and even filler migration wont matter as much as it doesnt really have much place to go, The last, most effective way is just getting a columellar stut graft, this requires a surgical operation and is usually only done to people with a severely retracted columnella, let me elaborate(insert gpt because he can explain it better):
A columellar strut graft is one of the most time-tested, reliable ways professionals improve a retracted or weak-looking columella.
Think of it as adding a small internal support beam inside the nose.
Inside your nose, the tip isn't just sitting there on its own — it’s supported by two thin cartilage “legs,” called the medial crura.
In some people, those legs are: naturally weak, positioned too high or pushed upward.
A columellar strut graft is basically a tiny, precisely shaped piece of cartilage — usually taken from the nasal septum — that’s placed along these two legs.
Well, i guess thats it..(shotgun noise)
Hope you learned something from my first official thread, please leave commentary if you have it, i appericiate everything which i can learn from.
and remember, its never over guys (;
(except for maybe some of you guys, rope jfl)
