Yep it's an absolute disaster. They shill the "Nuclear family" but i don't believe in it. It's not natural at all for husband and wife to live alone with their child, in nature grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins would help with the children and you would help them when it's their turn. The support network was far greater, everyone wasn't isolated from each other. 20 > 40 >60 > 80, some people still have four generations living together (well alive, they don't even live together for the most part anymore) but these families are few and far between. We are just brainwashed into thinking 18 year old women are little girls who can't have children, it's a joke. Their bodies are ready to procreate, biologically, visually it's clear as day. Their hips/sexual features are that of an adult woman. The same old debunked "brain keeps developing until 25" argument keeps getting brought up but it's nonsense. In nature, you would have five generations living all at once. It's actually wild how modern people have their first kid when they are already biologically grandparents, collapsing two generations into one and calling it normal.
It takes a village to raise a child. 32 or 33 is the age for first time parents in the west, whereas it's like you said, most would be grandparents in their early to mid 30s atleast. I get that the average lifespan was lower back then but i still think they were having children at the right ages. I'm 30 and one of my biggest regrets is not getting married in my early 20s when i had the chance to do so, i simply didn't know better at the time. That's why i want to marry a girl as young as i possibly can, i want as many children as possible and only young women can provide that.
