most guys who believe their (often imagined) "autism" (and no, 99% of you are not actually autistic) is holding them back are coping hard.

you can't spend all your free time locked in your basement/comfort zone browsing the internet or whatever, finally leave it and immediately start behaving like someone who's been attending 5 parties per week since early teens.

imagine lying in your bed for 6 months, stuffing yourself with burgers and cola and watching those garbage netflix shows and then getting up and trying to run a marathon. won't work. i'd say this is a pretty accurate analogy in this context.

being "NT" and easy to talk to requires prolonged effort too. and interpersonal communication/small talk isn't exactly rocket science.
