I don't think JBW would work in Hawaii. A lot of white guys there.

I would enjoy beaches and explore the islands.

I've never been. My mom's brother just bought his retirement home there though. There are a lot of Chinese go there as well. I'll probably go one day. Though I'd be more interested in seeing Saipan or Guam first. Cheaper, and more relaxed I'll bet.

I think mainland China is more fun though. The people/culture are pretty much the same. The politics might not be, but that doesn't really matter.
