This is the part that is the most overlooked in these spaces, at lesst thats how I feel. I think its because the userbase is just so young and from 1st world, they havent experienced life threatening illness. By the time I grew up to be 20, I had personally witnessed 4 gruesome cases of illness in my family. 1 who could not get up from bed and had servants to take care of daily functions, 1 who shat and pissed on their own bed constantly, 1 who became completely blind with time and the last one who lost ability to breathe slowly.
Each of these cases are horrifying to read. I have also seen relatively quicker deaths. Oldies getting heart attacks and such. These deaths seem relatively peaceful in comparisom to the horror. Add to the fact that those individuals were living only because their family members made that decision. Ideally they should have been euthanised. Palliative care is shit in 3rd world so that just comoiunds the misery.
My point is that you should wish to die as quickly as possible. A bullet to the head is better than dyijg slowly over years. More than death, dying slowly is my worst nightmare. It completely depends on genetics btw so no guarantees
