I find the discussion of height on the subforum to be quite an interesting phenomenon.
First of all, height is an extremely measurable variable which makes comparison easy. So therefore on Offtopic, where everyone wants to mog, it is one of the first things people mention and probably the most popular thing to discuss.
Second of all, people here usually come with grievances from their real lives, some of these people will be short and others tall. Therefore what happens is two fold.
- Short people make threads about how their stature makes them miserable, which is validated here as how they should feel
- Tall yet insecure people can come here and get validation for their undeniable gift, which also gives them something they lack in real life
Its also interesting how tall the average person claims to be here. My logic would be that if shorter people are more socially rejected they'd end up here more frequently. My resolution is a combination of lying (water
), shorter people not mentioning their height and the validation seeking described above
Personally, I think height threads are coal because other than wearing different footwear (recommend btw) its pretty much immutable. So to me it gets old fast (I don't get the validation lol )
