Meh that's more of a subjectivity issue, you perceive everyone around you at least 2 inches taller than they actually are(in most cases 3 because of hair etc) because you are looking at everyone from eye level and you focus on their top of the head when perceiving height , if you are 5'10 in a country where the average is 5'11"5 you will feel like the average is not 1 and a half inches taller than you but 1 and a half inches PLUS those 2-3 inches, if you are 3-4 inches "shorter" than the average person you will pretty much feel it, it is quite funny because pretty much noone that is under 6'4 actually feels tall in the countries I mentioned.
