I've read a paper about how many men you'd compete against based on your height and the available pool of women willing to date you. I have no idea what the paper was called because I've read it years ago, but I think you might be able to find it with a bit of googling. I do remember its findings though.

Basically, for anything below 5'11 you'd face an enormous amount of competition. There was a stark decline of competition at 5'11 and the sweetspot was 6'-6'3, with 6'1-6'2 actually being tied for the least competition. 6'4 and up saw an increase in competition again as the pool of women willing to date a man with that height and up shrank. At 6'6 I believe you'd face the same amount of competitors as someone who was 5'11. And at no point did anything taller than 6'6 reach the amount of competition as 5'10.

Essentially, the least competition is around 6'-6'3 with a low point at 6'1/6'2 and the height halo more or less stops with 6'6, but it is always better to be even taller than to be 5'10 and smaller.
