Height insecurity

Hello, this might not be a cheerful post obviously, i recently found this subreddit and i just want to share my story and see if there are any people like me, to begin with, i'm a 20 years old male who's 167 cm tall ( 5'5 ) and i consider myself a short guy, despite meeting shorter men, despite some people saying i'm average, i always did and always will consider myself short, Now why did i become so insecure about my height? i've been bullied by my so called " friends " about being short, i wouldn't use the term bully, because it wasn't as agressive and as intense of course, i would say they'd usually make jokes about me being short and mean them, and one of them actually means everything and is harsh sometimes, now even though i have a loving girlfriend who supports me and loves me for who i am, that alone is not enough to magically delete all my insecurities, so i've got three questions in total, is being 5'5 or 167 cm in height ( barefoot ) mega short for a guy? does it affect how people see you? like would other taller men look down on you and consider you inferior? or would other girls laugh it out and not see you attractive at all? i need answers from both boys and girls on this one, and if you're the same as me, let's chat this out and have fun.

You know, a lot of being short comes from the mind- how you perceive yourself, how others perceive you etc.

If you find yourself feeling “small and inferior” then sure, some taller dude is gonna feel “superior” next to you, but if you can practice some self awareness, ask yourself why do you feel inferior? Because he has more bone length? Because he maybe gets laid more than you? What if you got laid more than him? Would you be superior? What if you could kick his ass?

Also, even if you're short you can compensate for your face among many other aspects - Sure you'll get occasionally laughed at for your height but the important thing is to not take it to heart and if you're really uncomfortable with it ask your friends to stop and if they don't then they aren't really your friends.
