After a while a genuine 6 foot close to 6'1" LTN approaches her and makes the same jokes only to be hit with

Yeah totally agree but in cases of upper average/tallish heights and small differences being gl and having a tall impression can even make them think you're taller than you actually are or at least taller than somebody who's actually slightly taller than you (happened to me two times). Obviously if I was 5'8" no chick would ever think I'm tall but being a strong 5'11" I've been perceived as taller than 6'0" guys (which I mog) numerous times by women.
Plus even though my height is nothing special I'd call myself upper average where I live, I've had height compliments by women while my same height but uglier friends never have
