I have like a 5mm overbite and my orthodontist wants me to wear rubber band which will "fix" my bite but still give me a weak chin. ANY ALTERNATIVES OTHER THAN SURGERY???

I tried the rubber band solution to fix my underbite back when I was 13, but it failed when my dentist realized that the bands were too small for the hooks, so then they had to remove the hooks and all of it was done for nothing.

In the end, the best thing you can do for your jaw is to get a double jaw surgery. It is what I did for my underbite at 20 and it made me look way better afterwards, I went from 4/10 to 6/10, from being completely invisible to most women or friendzoned to being stared at by women when they are with their boyfriend.
