Help me understand the moral panic around Ozempic use.

Part of it is class warfare, and I understand that part, poor people don't like it that wealthy people have access to drugs to improve their lives that poor people can not afford. But there is an evangelical opposition, it seems to be primarily Christian evangelicals, that are opposed to Ozempic use and they then gaslight people on side effects.

Pretty sure it’s just to do with their obsession of this “self-discipline” and they view ozempic and other GLP-1 agonists as cheating, so to say.

It’s more this argument that it removes sacrifice etc. which some evangelicals are awfully fanatic about. They will then just make up some bullshit to try force you away from them because trying to tell someone to not take the easy route because… it’s bad? Unsurprisingly doesn’t work.

Ozempic isn’t too expensive now since there’s newer, and better GLP peptides.

I would think if I’m poor and fat, I would still take it given the impact it would have on my health and looks
