Help me understand this foid

There is this HTB in my class who some of my friends consider their oneitis (they talk to her daily JFL), she can hold a convo with most people just fine, but whenever she is next to me she starts acting autistic in the bad way (sometimes copying what I do, struggling to start a convo with me, being quiet as if she is ND). As an example when we would be at a pool party and we were in the same volleyball team she would say shit like "I prefer being in a team with you". Thing is she helped a JB LTB get in the prom dance with me by rigging the dance partner randomizer (she is on the student council), so I doubt it is her liking me as foids usually participate in intersexual rivalry. Is she just avoiding speech because she can detect I am ND or is she sending mixed signals like foids usually do.

I am a MTN, I do not have the looks to warrant such things happening which is why I fail to understand this
