so i currently live in russia and i've always wanted to move out of here, and the main reasons why i chose the US is because
1. i don't need to learn a new language and develop an accent because (thanks to my mom) i started learning english since i was 5
2. i've always liked the ideas, values, laws etc. this country is based around
my current plan for immigration is:
1. pass the required tests (SAT, TOEFL etc.) to get an F1 visa (i hope the war ends sooner so i won't have to do them in poland or some shit JFL)
2. either go to college for 4 years to get a bachelors degree in some engineering field (i haven't quite decided which one, probably software or electrical) or get an associates degree and transfer to uni (which will be more expensive ig)
3. get an H1B visa from an employer
4. after getting that visa, fill out the I-140, then I-485 and wait for a green card to stay there
are there any tips or tricks from people that live there and is there something im wrong about or missing out on?
