I'm going to get braces soon for torturing my teeth for 11 years by bottlefeeding. My teeth are flayed out, but my pallate is 45mm, canine to canine being 35mm, i have a tooth gap, because of it, but i heard that this can stunt your maxillary growth. What should i do, and what should i ask during the consult, and is there a good way to proceed with this? Should i quit on braces till later? 15 btw.

ask for mse/marpe either if you don't get it sounds like its over. No point in delaying the braces tho just make sure you request palate expander and check to see if they're planning on extracting any teeth. If not you may be fine.

Mse and marpe being? Also is the pallet expander necessary?

Mse/marpe are just palate expanders. If y want to avoid recessions from the braces it'd be a safer choice.

I see. Recessions get lower as the doctor follows your natural arch, doing it properly, No?

Yeah pretty much. Its just forcing development that would ideally happen naturally and with quicker time frame.
