Eyelid
I can't get "ptosis surgery" (I'm still uneducated, correct me if I get terms wrong) because I'm simply not eligible. So I have 2 solutions that are easier to access.

1. Oxymetazoline eye drops (Upneeq)
Upneeq is prescription only, but Oxymetazoline in nasal spray form is OTC. It sounds reasonable for me to just apply the nasal spray form of Oxymetazoline to my eyes, but from what I've researched, the nasal spray contains many inactive ingredients that shouldn't be applied to the eye. With little accessibility and cost out of the picture for generic Upneeq, this is the most reasonable and effective method as I don't really "fraud" with this method.

2. Double sided eyelid tape
While this is effective, I have to take the time out of my morning to position and correctly apply this to my eyelid as opposed to Upneeq where I can just apply 1-2 drops of it on the affected eye. But this is seemingly my best bet for now because of its accessibility and low cost.

Any other tips or other factors for me to research double sided eyelid tape for ptosis/unequal upper eyelids specifically?

i had the same. if its not too bad and you got it recently you can literally wear a hood at home to cover the weak eye, if you need to get rid of it permanently (before talking to an important girl) you can pull on your eyebrow on the weak eye and force the muscles of the weak eye to work. it`ll be back in a few minutes but might work just for a short period of time. avoid laying on one side.

Will covering it really help? How does it work

you just force the muscles of the weak eye to work. u could also just close it with your hand and read things or wear this shit at home. you gotta cover the strong eye

I’ve had this for like years, like as far back as I remember maybe. This is probably because I used to rest my finger on top of my eyeball on that eye when I was in a relaxed position for years.
you can pull on your eyebrow on the weak eye and force the muscles of the weak eye to work.
Is this just short term only?
avoid laying on one side.
I’ve also started doing this not just for my droopy eyelid but for overall symmetry.

i dont think its possible to overdo it but i suggest you looking into it somewhere else. update me with a result
I looked it up. This "eye patch" method is called occlusion therapy. Apparently you can overdo it lol. The ideal duration for having the unaffected eye covered should be 1-2 hours daily. Exceeding this will apparently cause eye strain, double vision, headaches, and reduced depth perception.

The occlusion therapy sessions will be most effective while doing visually engaging tasks like reading a book or screen time.
Maybe I could probably combine occlusion therapy for when I'm home and double sided eyelid tape for going outside?
