Does anyone knows if it's worth it? I'm 15 bone age 13, probably getting herbst ts month

Gave me a really good jawline. Probably the most effective ortho appliance imo. But it only projects your mandible forward and very slightly (and disproportionately) your maxilla which is indirectly

It works, get it if you have an overbite/overjet. It's not retractive, so its good.

I have recessed jaw, do u think it may fix it?
do you have an overjet or overbite ? It won't do anything for the maxilla obviously, but it will bring the mandible forwards.

Mb i don't have a overbite, i have a jaw recession.

look kid, when you close your mouth and bite down, if your lower front teeth(incisors, they are called) are sitting further back more than 2-3mm than your upper inicsors, if you have what is called an overjet. It is caused by a recessed mandible. If you have this condition, herbst appliance will correct it.

Just google an overjet/overbite(they are not the same thing but they usually accompany each other, an overbite is when you bite down and your upper incisors from a frontal perspective cover more than approximately half the length of your lower incisors, but almost everyone with an overjet has also some degree of overbite and vice-versa), and compare it to see what you have.

Or just go to an orthodontist.

Avoid elastics, and DONT EVER GET PREMOLAR EXTRACTIONS.
