I have had the opportunity to review your photos, and I can see there is slight
receding at the hairline. The center mid-point (the central of the hairline above the nose, we
call that mid-point) appears to be intact and at a reasonable position. Overall coverage
appears to be good and donor area seems well covered. Visually it appears to be male
pattern hair loss, we will confirm when you come in for your consultation. For male pattern
hair loss, the main treatment consists of restoring with hair transplant and/or maintaining
your native hair with medications. Should you wish to consider a hair transplant procedure
to restore your hairline, I think this is technically possible, provided you understand about
the treatment in detail.
I would suggest that we could potentially look at lowering at that temple portion of the
hairline while keeping your mid-point as it is. This will certainly sound like a conservative
approach, but unless you have specific requests, I would recommend this approach as this is
a little more subtle and you will see the improvement without looking too different (we can
always lower it further, but it is difficult to un-do a transplanted hairline). I did a preliminary
design for you based on your current hairline, please see attached photos for your reference.
Should this design not be what you had in mind, I am happy to adjust this when you come in
for your consultation, we always design with you when you come in and measure the
treatment surface area, so we can plan the procedure with precision.
Based on the above design, my visual estimation of your treatment area with the design in
black pencil, is in the region of 30cm2. I would generally aim for a good density of 60 grafts
per cm2, working towards 1800grafts for an area of up to 30cm2. The treatment fee for an
area of up to 30cm2 is currently £9,075+VAT. Please note that this is only a visual estimate,
we will design and measure the actual area when you come in for your consultation, to
ascertain the exact treatment fee. The treatment area and fee can therefore vary based on
your requirements. I should emphasize that any estimate of costs provided is just an
estimate and not a quotation and the total cost can vary and will be dictated on the amount
of treatment area or grafts transplanted on the day of treatment.
£9000 though!
