I don't know if here or on some other forum I've read a story about someone who stopped a girl on the hallway in high-school because she had a t-shirt with his favorite band, he was like: "Hey, you like the Ramones?", but she started to look around scared, mumbled something then quickly left...
Similar stuff happened to me too, but not with music, whenever I would go and talk to a girl that was into the same stuff I was, they would become stiff, act awkward, give one word responses and start to look around like looking for an exit.
