Is 8 iu too much also should I start at 4 and work up to it

ramp your way to 8iu, it's a solid dose but you'll need to check your sugars levels from time to time (and insulin too)
for example:
week 1-2: 2iu ED
week 3-4: 4iu ED
and so on
though i was ramping to my dose for only 2 weeks because i wanted to pin more iu faster (you'll get bloated anyway i guess)
