Now i know this is water and prolly overly negative but wtv most niggas from tiktok think its just magic immeadiate growth to 7'8 and youll look like drago after 2 weeks of 6ius so i wanted to make this.

zero studies cited and prolly some stuffs wrong, cause i wrote this for fun inbetween sets, off the top of my head so i dont wanna hear some bs abt some reallly intricate thing i slightly misrepresented

Acronym list:
HGH/GH: Human growth hormone
IGF-1: insulin like growth factor
ISS: idiopathic short stature
SGA: small for gestational age

Introduction:
HGH is a naturally produced hormone which is one of the biggest mediators of bone growth and many other anabolic related bodily activities. HGH is a peptide hormone meaning that it docks on the cell membrane receptors and has its effect via signals being sent from that receptor on the cell membrane into the cell. HGH is produced in the anterior pituitary gland, it then stimulates the liver to produce IGF-1, it is unknown the extent to which HGH has its effects on the body or if it is the IGF-1 but main scientific literature suggests that is a bit of both. Endogenous HGH is mediated in a negative feedback loop via IGF-1, (more HGH more IGF-1, this then makes your body produce less HGH etc etc).

Exogenous HGH:
Exogenous HGH is r-hGH which is recombinant HGH meaning that it is chemically identical to endogenous HGH. It is widely used medically and recreationally. It is approved for use for height growth in ISS, SGA, Turner syndrome and GH deficient children. It is also used recreationally for height growth, muscle building, frame growth, facial bones, fat burning and many other reasons with varying levels of evidence.

Evidence of HGH height growth effects:
Height growth is what HGH is most commonly used for medically and recreationally, we can disregard all scientific evidence except ISS children as you’d know if you had any of the other disease/disorders. There have been many studies on ISS children (idiopathic meaning no scientific reason I will dissect later why that doesn’t necessarily mean the same as you and me). Nearly every single study showed statistically significant height growth using HGH.

Evidence of HGH facial growth:
A couple of studies showed a couple of mm extra madibualr and maxillary growth, these kids prolly weren't done growing so idk abt it but theres extremely low evidence on it.

Why ISS kids growing is not evidence that normal people will:
Idiopathic just means scientists don’t know, for example having a HGH deficiency was thought of as idiopathic as they couldn’t detect it until reasonably recently. These kids may be GH insensitive or basically anything else relating to making them short. These children were also blasting something like 10-16ius a day (idk how much they weigh but smth like that).

Side effects of growth hormone use:
Now I have dissected why it is not such a black and white answer that HGH makes everyone grow, I will discuss the side effects, main side effects are water retention, insulin insensitivity, cancer and tumour growth, slipped discs, early growth plate closure, all self medication potential side effects and excessive nose and ear growth. HGH causes water retention, water retention isn’t harmless as many think and you can’t just drink coconut water your way out of the negative side effects. Water retention around your heart is serious and will decrease your average life span (it’s not gonna make you drop dead but it just makes it harder for your heart to pump making all sort of heart related issues likelier later in life) , it is basically impossible to completely avoid without using a diuretic which comes with its own risk. You will also look like a chud cause of all the facial bloat . HGH causes insulin insensitivity which leads to diabetic like side effects, timing your injections can help mitigate it as well as taking medication that raises your insulin sensitivity but it’s all an extra risk. Growth hormone directly grows any cancerous cells and tumours now it is extremely unlikely that you have either but it just another risk. In nearly every study a kid had some sort of very serious issue due to growing to quickly, type of thing that would make you not able to play basketball for a long time. HGH when not paired with something like a FGFR inhibtor or aromatase inhibitor can close your plates early causing you to be shorter than if you hadn’t hopped on (I will talk later on about all the sides of common pairing with HGH). Self medication is a dangerous thing, you don’t know whether your stuff is real, even if you test one vial you have no guarantee that all the other vials you have are real, injecting yourself can cause infections, nerve damage, scarring and excessive bleeding if you hit a vein. HGH grows your ears and nose and there nothing you can do about it, if you want to run for long periods of time which is needed for height growth you will experience noticeable ear and nose growth

Common HGH pairing and their effects:
People often pair other medications with HGH to increase the effects or mitigate the sides of HGH. The most common are, FGFR inhibitors, aromatase inhibitors and eplerenone (or a diuretic like it). FGFR inhibitors were shown to help with height a large amount, as it stops plate closure. The most notable side effect of these medications are going blind, there is no mitigating this you just have to hope. Aromatase inhibitors are used to lower oestrogen as high estrogen closes your growth plates, these come with a wide range of side effects. Estrogen is extremely important for your brain, to low estrogen while developing makes you stupid. It is also important for bone density which is exacerbated by increased bone growth from HGH. There are two types of AIs steroidal and non steroidal both come with their own sides. Non steroidal inhibitors if you miss a dose your estrogen will spike closing your plates and just generally very bad for everything. Steroidal inhibitors kill your aromatase enzymes meaning if you take too much you will have low estrogen for up to a week, low estrogen is very very bad for you, as well the aforementioned side effects, you will be depressed most likely. Eplerenone or another similar diuretic is often used to mitigate water retention, all diuretics mess with your electrolytes, eplerenone raises your potassium so you have to watch your potassium intake, going hyper or hypo klycemic can kill you on the spot.

will I still be hopping on, fuck yeah

4-6 iu is a lot to start with, just saying.

I have never heard of someone running under 4 ius and the low dose kids in the studies were runnig like 0.25mg/kg a week, 0.75iu per kilo of weight per week
