Caldwell esselstyn basically proved that palmitic acid clogs ur vessels up.

clogged vessels is the number 1 killer in America.

also leads to erection problems ect.

Is low fat diet ideal?

Very important to note, modern low carb high fat, Keto, Paleo, Atkins diet etc proponents state that elevated cholesterol is not necessarily bad or cause heart disease even though Cordain himself found that lower cholesterol is absolutely necessary for longevity

The current cholesterol cap so to say for being considered to have high cholesterol is 100mg/dl, Cordain as well as many other doctors found that 50-70mg/dl is ideal and virtually eliminates the build up of plague and atherosclerosis does not occur at this concentration.

Then we have Keto doctors like Ken Beryy who stated on a panel that he isn’t worried about his cholesterol score of fucking 250 mg/dl because “high cholesterol doesn’t cause heart disease”

it kind of ticks me off when I see people push the whole keto/carnivore thing here like it’s gospel.

Interestingly with the Inuit it was Dr Price who first studied the Inuits dental health and their low rates of dental malformation and bite issues which I think was and still is pretty solid health. However, him and his team also started a sort of myth around the Inuit, they didn’t do any blood panels, scans or testing however they basically just looked at the Inuit and found them to be physically fit and concluded that they had virtually no disease and obesity despite eating almost nothing but meat, kind of fallacious because a hunter gather lifestyle simply wouldn’t allow you to be sedentary or obese but since they assumed obesity = heart disease they concluded the Inuit had very low to little heart disease.
However in recent decades, they’ve researched further and found that they have similar rates of atherosclerosis and heart disease to westerners despite it being obese and a far higher rate of osteoporosis

I speculate that the diet for looks and mating success isn’t the same as the one for longevity.

price probably gave the best diet for children and adolescents and early mating success.

but it seems like a diet similar to the kitavan or okinawans is best for longevity (avoiding heart disease the number 1 killer)

It’s honestly sort of paradoxical imo, we know that meat and dairy increases igf-1 and even something like creatine consumption which comes from meat increases height and development in children/adolescents, however later on in life meat/dairy and even igf-1 increases cancer risk and accelerates tumour growth, and meat in general fucks up heart health, weird how that works I wonder if there are any plant foods that have the same effect like dairy does on igf-1, I do know that no plant food has creatine unfortunately.

My take away from prices study was that tougher foods lead to better facial development, I don’t necessarily think that the diet has to come from meat as long as the food is tough to chew, nutritionally adequate and non-sedentary lifestyle development should be fine.

I’m not as worried about tumor as I am athlerosclerosis Fucking up the veins that feed my dick.

I’m still trying to find a grain that doesn’t make me gassy

it’s funny when I order crappy food like hamburgers or pizza my stomach issues and gas aren’t nearly as bad as when I eat super clean.

I think that was for his dental practice, his research on the Inuits was that a more ancestral diet moving away from refined/processed foods had better dental structure and less cavities/rots.

I fucking hate nutrition "science" one side says "fat is poison high carb is healthy" the other side says "nooooo you need to eat mainly keto/paleo fat is healthy".
There are so many views on nutrition, some say the earth is square, others say it's flat, so what?

Yeah man animal saturated fats cause heart disease, that's why heart disease only started being recorded the year vegetable oil was put on the market as a food. Keep eating your heart-healthy grains, cereals, seeds and vegetable oils! Stay away from those evil nasty saturated fats. Trust the experts, trust the science, trust the food companies.
