Plato divine inspiration theory of art says others would just be divinely inspired and go on to create art. Or from the perspective of historicism you could treat jay-z, eminem, etc. as products of their time, and that there are many artists like jay-z and eminem but not famous because the spot was already filled bu the true jay-z and eminem.
