High waisted pants create the illusion of the wearer being taller. Wearing high waisted pants is also extremely beneficial if you have a long torso and short legs. Not only that, but it's also comfy as fuck as the pants sit around your natural waist (right below or just at the belly button). The only problem might be if you wear pants that are too high, then it looks comical.
