what do non famous people with high instagram follower account even do? expect looking good? like do they contribute content?

Looks are everything. IG is just a place to post pictures and short videos. It is not a good place to get information from.

You can use IG for other things, if your a good artist or photgrapher. Its probably worth using so you appear NT, having an active instagram account is only a halo imo, even if you have no followers.
