Hiking is very freeing

Especially considering the fact you can go off-trail

It gives such a wide range of possibilities for what you can do on the hike, and youre not caged within the limits of the regular trail which at times can be very boring when youre just looking at the same scenery on repeat

You can come across caves/abandoned mines, lakes, rivers, different animals, steeper obstacles so you can actually climb and arent just restricted to constant walking

Makes it even better if you do it with others that have a similar mindset to you about the hiking experience, id be on mountains all day exploring different parts before i even reach the peak

What are some good areas to hike around the uk ?

Ive mainly done hikes in the lake district, done some in the scottish highlands and wales too
