As a result, the Gestapo arrested everyone in the towns, executed all the men ages over 16 and sent the women and some children to the concentration camps. Some children ended up in the Germanization program (due to being Aryan) while the others were killed. The towns themselves were razed to the ground and the ruin removed, effectively erasing both from existence."
