Depends which one. Removable ones, yes they do coz you can only exert 1/6 the force that you can normally exert with natural teeth, so Wolf's Law says your bone will shrink and it does. You will get 70% of all the boneless within the first year.

Implanted dentures - fortunately the literature SEEMS TO suggest you don't get much bone loss if any at all with them coz they're screwed into the jaw, so they stay put and you can chew as hard as you could with normal teeth
