My guess is going to be a bit of detanning around the face + a shitload of blush. His skin isn't the most consistent from post to post but he always has a strong splotch of blush around his midface which doesn't appear in any of his before pics. My guess is that it's a face full of makeup which could explain why it's so glossy in some of his videos.

After a bit of digging for any sort of a timeline, one can notice that in 2016 his face has appeared to lighten a little taking on a more weatish tone than the deep brown he was prior (though this could just be a result of change of lighting), though even lighter still are his chest area and lower feet area. Which can be very common as the chest isn't commonly exposed to the sun and if shoes were largely worn over flipflops thus would explain the tan line that occurs horizontally on his feet. An extra thing to note is that his hands are noticeably darker than his face in 2016. Hold on to this fact.

Because if you browse around any of his uploads, one thing you can notice is that his hands are extremely dark, they have not gotten any lighter since his before pics. Just go watch any one of his videos and it'll stick out like a sore thumb.

I don't think this is monobenzone, monobenzone both doesn't really work for non-vitiligo patients and even if it did, results would probably be more pale and wouldn't be so concentrated around the face and would maybe at least show up as dipigmented splotches on his hand (you CANNOT apply monobenzone selectively, mono will show up as random patches all over your skin regardless of where you slab it on). If we use the tone of his chest skin and lower feet we can see that his skin is naturally weatish. With tan removal being within the realm of possibility my best guesses are that through a bit of skin care he has largely cleared up the tan around his face and paired it with a face's worth of blush to mimic the tone of a sunburnt European.

I found a mid-ascension photo that depicts a face that's as light as his body tone with clear tan lines on the arms. Detanning over genuine skin bleaching is what I'm led to believe as there wouldn't be any reason to bleach one's upper arms but not their lower arms. (especially considering your lower arms are what are more likely to show on a day to day basis)

Lightly caging but still mirin' this transformation. Definitely taking notes.
