the Northern Alliance has state support from Tajikistan. The Tajiks aren't going to let their people get slaughtered like that. Tajikistan dropped supplies in Panjshir.

What's going to happen is, that Panjshir and Northern areas will have a separate government while the Talibs will control the Pashtun majority areas and that's how the country will be run.

I believe that Talibans will lose in the end, but you need a lot of money to win a war. You said its not China and not Pakistan, who will decide about Afganistan future. Is it possible that India or Russia are investing in Northern Alliance to defeat Talibans and keep China out of Afganistan?

The soldiers probably, the top leader probably not from what i've heard. One thing that must be understood is that in muslim majority land the people who supports/supported secularist and pro western movements didn't even know for what those movements stood for, especially in the 20th century, only the leadership.

I personally know many examples of people who were practicing muslims but supported some random secularist party leader because the faggots were going around spreading fake agendas and not addressing the issue and their true intentions. The moment someone says in a Muslim majority country that he has something against Islam he will inmediatly lose almost every support except from the few followers who actually aren't muslims (With few exceptions like Lebanon which is very mixed), is like a death sentence on the political paradigm. The secularists campaigns on the Muslim majority world are more like "We are muslims and Islam will be the official religion of the state, but we support such and such laws, such and such economical movements, such and such alliances". Even among the leadership you will find people who pray 5 times a day but do it for the money or something.

Even with those tactics, everytime there is some sort of true democratic elections the Muslim Brotherhood branch practically always wins.
