final episode was genuinely terrible, and the choice of butcher not releasing the virus literally means the entire series accomplished nothing, vought still exists, corrupt superheros still exist, and another homelander will come around because stan Edgar owns the company.
also i get powerscaling isnt the point of the show, but god fucking dammit the power scaling was so weird this episode, homelander can fly to space and back in 2 seconds but 20 minutes later he cant escape a single room
oh and also i cant help but notice that homelanders whole thing about committing genocide against the non belivers and 'scorched earth' is funny because he literally killed more people in season 1 when he lasered down that one plane then the entirety of season 5

So fucking true I hate how they wasted the series. It's geniuenly had sm potential to be one of the greatest. The fact that they allocated budget to the shit spinoffs such as genv and vought rising that nobody cares about, instead of going all in for the original the boys series is insanity. We could have watched homelander going and killing civilians, like actually losing his mind, but instead we got a guy who promised to snap for 7 years just for him to not snap.

His last fucking kill was sending the parody of elon musk to the space like holy fuck

he really is all bark no bite when it comes to that. and yes the orgasm denial i got when butcher didnt press the button... I mean just throw the gun out of the fucking tower for christs sake... and i wish homelander didnt get killed right away so we could see him actually go through that stage of his life even for a day. i wanted all the people who he treated harshly to see him how high he fell, like deep, an interaction between them or with soldier boy or with any other supe or amongst people... whether they still accept him or further boo him... i mean yeah they warched him live on tv but i wanted an in person interaction with more people like with deep or maeve or stan or other supes or with regular people... and maybe he just suicides after... i think we couldve gotten a more clever more creative ending for homelander after he lost his powers... and not just simply a crowbar to his head...
