I've tested the biggest lash serum brands with Bimatoprost, including generic Latisse. UKlash, Grande Lash, NanoLash, Revitalash. You name it, I've tried them all. They all worked. They give you really long lashes.

BUT let me warn you: it can give you eye twitches. When I used the Lash serums, I always got eye twitches during the same period. When I didn't use the serum, I didn't get any eye twitches. This happened with ALL serums containing bimatoprost, regardless of the ingredients. These eye twitches occur randomly throughout the day. While driving, while talking to friends, while showering. Even before going to sleep I would feel twitches (this was the worst feeling). This could go on for minutes. They're constant twitches, and at some point, they irritate you to death and make you wonder if it's all worth it.

And here's the weird thing: you won't find ANYTHING about this side effect online. Seriously, nothing. Not even on TikTok. The only thing you'll find about it is a random thread on Reddit about someone else experiencing the same thing. If you email this to well-known lash companies, they'll say they're "not aware" of this side effect, so be careful, because you won't get your money back either.

Eyelid discoloration and orbital fat loss are common side effects. And I personally haven't experienced orbital fat loss, but I did experience discoloration. You'll see a kind of red eyeliner color along your lash line. So yes, in summary, it works, but be prepared for side effects that are NOT listed online.

I'll also add a video of my eye twitch back then.

I'm sharing this because I couldn't find much information about it myself, other than a random post on Reddit, so if anyone sees this and experiences/experienced the same thing, they'll at least know that it's due to the bimatoprost.

latisse is probably the most effective if you use it correctly

Also i dont think there s a correlation nor does it matter

I get why you’d think that, but the eye twitches only occurred during periods I used bimatoprost based serums and it stopped completely when I stopped using them. My sleep and caffeine intake didn’t change at all. That pattern repeated multiple times with different brands, so for me the correlation was very clear.

It is effective & I literally said that it works. My post isn’t about effectiveness, it’s about side effects some people may experience. Whether you believe there’s a correlation or not doesn’t change my personal experience.

In case others run into the same thing and wonder what’s causing it, now they know.

fair but correlation over universal truth? bimatoprost can irritate nerves around the eye so yeah for you eye twitch makes sense

doesn't mean everyone will get it or that it's dangerous, anyways the solution is simple and you already have it, stopping bimatoprost.

Exactly and I’m not claiming a universal truth. This is correlation based on my own repeated experience. And yes, not everyone will get it or be harmed by it. My point is simply that this side effect isn’t discussed anywhere, so people who do experience it aren’t left confused. That's it.

Odd. Could very well be an allergic reaction considering the limited accounts on it.

Could be, yes. I can’t rule that out. All I know is that it happened consistently with bimatoprost use and stopped when I discontinued it. Whatever the mechanism is behind it, I’m sharing it so others who experience the same thing aren’t left guessing.

It could be an allergic reaction, nerve irritation, or individual sensitivity but what bothered me most was the lack of available information when it happened so I hope this can help people who experience the same thing.

Hi, I’m not talking about prescription eye drops.
I’m referring to lash serums containing bimatoprost / prostaglandin analogues (e.g. Latisse, NanoLash).

To be clear: I’m not 100% sure whether the twitching is caused by the bimatoprost/prostaglandin analogue itself or possibly by preservatives in these formulas, I can only say that the twitching consistently occurred while using these serums and stopped/decreased when I discontinued them.
