my guess would be because their food is so soft they dont chew at the back of their mouth so their jaw drags forward

They offered me jaw surgery for it when i was like around 14, but since i was a clueless teen and they just described it to me as “breaking your jaw” i refused

Instead i opted for braces which i got last year. Thankfully i got no extractions, and my smile no longer looks retarded

But i regret not accepting that jaw surgery so bad, because i wouldve been getting it now

Insurance would have covered it back then yes

I could still get jaw surgery now, but insurance would no longer cover it, as im so late into my braces process and my teeth placement & bite function has been corrected. Possibly if there is relapse but i doubt there will be

So yeah, worst decision of my life because 14 year old me was too high inhib to accept it
