Horror if done correctly is the best genre

I agree honestly. If I'm watching a fucked up film I would rather watch it by myself than with someone else. I get more of an adrenaline rush watching movies by myself for some odd reason.
Yeah, it’s just a lot more engaging that way, I feel. I don’t mind watching it for the second time with others, but for the first time it has to be watched alone.

Sure thing! Give Last Shift (2014) a watch, and also Lake Mungo (2008). Last Shift is more a traditional movie and Lake Mungo is a faux-documentary.
Will look into them. Thanks fratello:Comfy:

The wailing
Incantation
A tale of two sisters

All top tier films
Also the netlflix show The Silent Sea
I watched The Wailing at the movie theater, I went with my brother and his college friend. We drove from Rotterdam all the way to Amsterdam for a late night showing of The Wailing. At the movie theater, only the three of us and another group of non-whites, all Moroccan, were there. I was thinking, “These guys are just gonna ruin the experience, making jokes and laughing at a foreign language.” Surprisingly, no one there made a sound, nor did they joke. And they seemed like those thugmaxxing kind of ethnics. Mirin. It was a memorable experience for sure, my brother and my brother’s friend and I, we all loved it. We didn’t expect it to be that good. A Tale of Two Sisters is honestly a masterpiece, I’ve actually ordered it on DVD afterwards. I’ve not yet watched Incantation, but wasn’t that from Hong Kong or China? I haven’t watched The Silent Sea either. I tend to avoid horror shows for some reason.

No zombies can compare to 28 Days Later zombies. No zombie movie has ever scared me the way 28 Days Later has as a child. But yeah they aren't really zombies, they're more like humans with a virus that makes them uncontrollably rage and kill. I'm literally praying 28 Years Later is going to be good because I haven't been to the theaters in years due to all of these boring movies.
Mirin hard. Infected with high intelligence is probably the scariest shit ever. Nobody would survive an apocalypse like this. I'm excited for the movie
Was the first another user here?

Figures why you like TLOU

What do you think of the show?
You might like World War Z it’s fast paced, those mfs don’t let you chill
Yes, big fan of TLOU 1 more specifically, both show and game. I think part 2 sucks hard characters and storywise. But the infected encounters are pretty good in TLOU 2 (game). I'm rewatching the show now since it has been two years, and it's been a bit vague what I remembered

I also played World War Z indeed. Pretty dumb fun, not really scary though imo. Mirin your zombie knowledge. Whats your favorite franchise/movie?

The only zombie movie I liked aside was Zombieland, oh and I also liked that parody movie Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

First Zombieland is nostalgic, the second was just a money grab. Shaun of the Dead is a classic zombie movie. World War Z was good but they could've made it more gruesome and violent tbh.

Whats your favorite franchise/movie?
Favourite movies are Alien/The Thing, both tied #1

I went into why in this post:
These are the two best films I’ve ever seen:
  • Alien
  • The Thing

The point of films is to feel something you won’t feel in day to day life. And what better feeling/ genre than Horror.
I personally like Sci-fi a lot, and the idea of Aliens is my favourite, because they have a high likelihood of existing.

I also like adventure films, but specifically when you are searching for a hidden treasure/city lost to time, nobody having set foot there in 100s-1000s of years. Left untouched

Films where people are 1000s of kilometres away from civilisation, where there’s a foreign entity with them, whether it be in the middle of Antarctica or deep in Space.

I have watched 1000+ films in my lifetime. These are some I want to watch, and have watched that I really rate:
  • Outer Banks (Tv Show, but very recommended)
  • Lone Survivor
  • Society of the Snow
  • 1917
  • Shutter Island
  • Alien
  • The Thing
  • Indiana Jones films
  • Jackie Chan films
  • Uncharted
  • Lost City of Z
  • Cast Away
  • Jurassic Park films
  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • The Revenant
  • The Shining
  • The Life of Pi
  • In the Heart of the Sea
  • Jungle
  • Against the Ice
  • Iceman
  • and few more...

I really loved Cast Away. That desolate feeling of solitude is actually liberating. Being at one with nature is stronger than any attachment we might have to the comforts of society

Recently watched the Equalizer films, and The Shawshank Redemption again. They were all good, but the Equalizer films despite being good don't fit with what I like of being far away from civilization.

I LOVE war films too. Because they also are not in busy cities etc. Recently watched the film U-571.. really liked that.

Going to watch Lone Survivor tonight !

I remember watching this film called ‘The Abyss’. If you ever get a girl you should watch this film with her, I haven’t found a more magical film you can watch with your gf

But yeah, I’ve been searching through lots of similar films of the Sci-fi Horror genre where they are isolated from other humans, but I haven’t found one that hits like these 2 yet

I think Pan’s Labyrinth would be the most magical horror movie to watch. Not my personal opinion, but just based on what others have been saying .
