ok i exaggerated but imo even though KOs are the most entertaining finish in mma and boxing, a tko is what actually proves domination most of the time.
lets be real, ~25% of knockouts are lucky. my best examples are leon edwards v usman and michael chandler v tony ferguson.
the 2 things these share in common was that they were kicks and the winner of these fights were down on the scorecards before this and they landed perfectly timed and placed head kicks. and even punch knockouts can be lucky too like almost ever heavyweight knockout but tkos almost always mean pure domination.
if the ref is stopping the fight (tko not ko) that means that you literally could not defend yourself while still being conscious.
ngl this is water but tldr head kicks kos arent really impressive skillwise but look cool
