If u had deep bite ur upper lip wouldve been slightly forward and would look pretty absurd overall but you don't have that and ur lower chin wouldve been pushed backwards i believe u just have an overbite but it's nothing to be worried abt ur a good looking dude

well from what i can see u might have a type 1 malocclusion, constricted arch but i'll tell you what tho if you go to an orhtodontist they might give you an MSE it's not specifically required for this treatment braces can also help the same case giving the same results but if u pray that they are unexperienced they will give u mse or hyrax expanders which will be much better for your looks.

tru and might fix overbite in some cases but definitely not deep bite its too weak for it, le fort 1 osteotomy and bsso should be ok, ur chin must be recessed bcuz of the deepbite and u might want to get a genioplasty completely optional tho, basically a bimax orthognathic. also im pretty sure they don't give bimax for cosmetic reasons no? maybe u can fake it by saying i've had sleep issues for years

Yeah my chin is very slightly recessed (maybe its super recessed and I just think it's slight bcs rose tinted glasses, or maybe it isn't recessed at all bcs everyone I talk to abt it says it looks perfectly normal, but u know how normies are) so basically a bimax right? Yeah I can probably fake sleep issues since I barely sleep and my sleep quality is piss poor. Can I pm u to ask more abt it?

Haha thats exactly what my doctor said , he also said that i have a slight jaw recession but i dont need jaw surgery to fix it , he said he can only fix my bite but it wont change my face , he said if i want i can get bimax only for cosmetic reasons what should i do? I was never really insecure abt my face but that jew made me rethink

What a lot of people don't know is that teeth posture affects more than just your smile. It changes the whole face, jaw positioning, cheekbone prominance, and many other important features you may not think it effects.

A regressive feature that is relatively unknown by normies is the deep bite. It is a form of overbite where the upper incisors and cuspids overlap a majority of the body of the lower counterparts. It is a malocclusion that is quite common, affecting 15-20% of americans.

The first negative effect a deep bite has is that when smiling, only the upper row is shown. This makes a smile look less full, and therefore less attractive. Gum positioning can also effect smile show, however a deep bite can also impact how prominant the gums are.

Another effect a deep bite has is contributing to retrognathia, the recession of the mandible. The deep bite makes the mandible angle more occluded and the jaw less defined. A deep bite will also worsen chin projection, as the lower jaw is further back as it could be. If properly aligned, the chin will be moved forward in comparison to the maxilla, and the mandible angle and ramus will be more prominant and defined.

In addition it also effects the cheeks. As the lower jaw is more close to the maxilla for someone with a deep bite, it reduces how hollow the cheeks are, giving a more "puffy" look. Even if a person has high cheekbones, a very tight bite will make it hard to develop hollow cheeks, even when lean.

Another negative a deep bite can cause is a shortening of the lower facial third which will make facial aesthetics poorer.

A lot of dentists never mention deep bites because some don't care enough or some (like in the NHS) don't see it as a problem unless for very severe fringe cases. The optimal resting position for your teeth (when biting down) should be just over the top of your front teeth by less than 3mm.

Luckily, a deep bite that is not too severe is relatively easy to fix and can be done with invisalign or similar methods. A very severe deep bite (normally classed as overbite) may require surgery to properly fix.

It is my recommendation for those of you that have a deep bite to fix it as soon as possible as it will upgrade your face, jaw and smile.

shitty photo, but here you see my narrow maxilla. Like it’s squished in lol and my chin probably isn’t tucked low enough in proper posture. I think genio, Bimax, lefort 1 and maybe fat graft would bring me to living. My jaw is also short af. Legit got me feeling like beetlejuice.

so when u bite down and your lower set of teeth is barely visible (im talking more than half) that's when you have a deep bite. right now what you are describing is an overbite but still if you are not convinced u can send me a picture of ur teeth i'll try to help it doesn't have to be perfect
