To clarify, I am not a utopian socialist. I am a scientific socialist and I believe in theory such as that of Engels and Marx. However, with this being said due to the material conditions that I am seeing now, I have come to the realization that a perfect society is theoretically possible. Even if we only stay on Earth.
You might be wondering how this type of society could be achieved, because of course who would not wish this type of form for humans to live in? Well, the first step to forming a “heaven on earth” utopia is to transition the country you are in to socialism.
This is important as a step, because under a free market capitalist system a utopia is theoretically impossible. This is because a perfectly functioning capitalist system in of itself would by definition not be fully perfect in all aspects.
In other words, a capitalist system that is fully optimized into being as ideal as possible. Will be a system that is inherently not perfect in every singe aspect. This is because capitalism was designed to be an inherently flawed and imperfect system because capitalists believes that this is as good as it gets for humans.
However, I reject the idea that we can’t have a perfect system because of “human nature” which in of itself is shaped only due to the material conditions of our environment as suggested by Marx. For instance, Greed is only considered to be part of human nature because hoarding more money was historically extremely beneficial for individuals. So why not want more of it?
Though, after a socialist style government
is established in a country. The state will then finally have enough authority and power to be able to exercise politics that would lead the country to becoming a utopia. In our modern day and age this boils down to AI and AI only.
I believe that AI is the solution to creating a hyper advanced civilization state. The first country to fully harness the potential of AI and automatization, by eliminating human labor itself entirely, will be one of near unlimited abundance and rather close to Utopia.
This is because eliminating human labor is the most progressive thing you could do, Not only this, but because AI can maximize things like efficiency to an unmeasured degree. To have an entire country run by it would be one of the most efficient countries of all time. The average human would live in constant abundance, and finally be able to pursue creative interests rather than constant labor.
Vacation would become the new standard, because AI would take up all matters ranging from national defense to leisure and consumer service. And combining this under production owned by the government, would mean that this grand abundance can stay within the state. This is because the state would have the ability to eliminate the free market entirely. Thus ending commodity production.
I envision a world where one super charged state with millions of robotic soldiers goes on to conquer the other human countries of the
world and fully integrate them into a grand superstate. Once the world is fully reunited then only can we have another aspect of Utopia, which would be eternal long lasting peace as well.
If this is difficult to conceptualize, imagine the government from the 1984 book, except the entire world is within the state and nothing is outside of it. And everything is done to benefit the people of course.
This will be our future.
